Education and Training
Dr. Halpern has an impressive educational background, having obtained two Master of Science degrees in different disciplines. He first completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Concordia University in Montreal before moving west to study Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon 4. After spending two years as a dentist at the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg, he began a Master of Science degree from the Medical School at the University of Louisville in Kentucky in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology. His thesis focused on craniofacial proportions using 3D X-rays (CBCT) 15. He then returned to Winnipeg to pursue his Orthodontic Specialty from the University of Manitoba, where he conducted research on growth maturation indicators using 3D X-rays (CBCT). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
